Database Location

ClockRite uses a database to store all of the employee and clocking data.

By default this would be located in c:\clockrite\database.  This would be typical for a single user of the software.

Most companies will have a file server.  It makes sense for the database and all associated files to be located on your server.  An example of where the database may be located is \\your_server_name\clockrite\database.

Occasionally your IT people may need to replace the server.  It is their responsibility to move all of the data from the old server to the new server.

If after the new server is in place you get a message when loading Clockrite that the system "Cannot find the database...." you will need to put the new file locations into the next dialog box.  (Your IT people will have to provide you with the new server name) The example below shows you what can be entered.

***IMPORTANT***

Once the software is working with the new file path, you will need to update the other 3 file locations.
