Booking Furlough Hours

From the 1st of July you will be able to bring you back employees on a part-time basis. You will have to pay their wage for any hours that they are in work.  You may also need to record the amount of furlough hours.

If an employee typically works an 8 hour day, but may only work 4 hours, with the other 4 hours you can book the non worked hours against an absence code in Clockrite e.g Furlough.

Scroll down to your new absence and change the PAID column from N to Y (otherwise no hours will show)

Then change the rate from 1 to 5 (this is the column that the hours) you could use 2, 3 or 4 if you do not use them for any other overtime or payment rates.

In the example below the employee work from 08:00 to 12:00 and was then on Furlough for the rest of the day.  These 4 hours are shown in column 5

Another example may be if the employee is working for 3 days, but is furloughed for the next 2.  You would simply book the Furlough absence for the 2 days.

The info would show as below.
