WIFI - 2019 (ZMM) - C250/C400 - Connecting To Your Wifi

**IMPORTANT**

This ONLY applies to C250 & C400 clocks 

***Clockrite devices only connect using 2.4Ghz***

***PEAP Authentication is not supported on these devices***

To configure the WIFI on your ClockRite C250/C400 Terminal you will need: 

  • Your ClockRite Admin card 
  • Your Clocking Terminal (plugged in and powered up) 
  • A PC with your ClockRite Software fully installed 

You will also need the following information about your Wireless Network: 

1) The SSID (the public name) of your Wireless Network. . 

2) The Password of your Wireless Network.  

3) You will also need ONE free IP addresses for the WIFI. If you are unsure, please contact your IT Administrator

4) The Subnet Mask of your Wireless Network. (Usually 255.255.255.0) 

5) The Gateway IP of your Wireless Network.

If you wish, you can enter your network details into the table below for easy reference during setup. You may need to consult your IT Administrator

WIFI Setup 

Before starting the WIFI Setup, ensure that the ClockRite Terminal is plugged in, powered up. Once this is done, follow the steps below. 

1. Power on the Terminal by pressing the button in the bottom corner of the keypad. 

2. Press the M/⏎ button (a padlock will show) and swipe the Admin card to access the menus 

3. Use the arrow keys to select the Comm option and press OK. 

4. Use the arrow keys to select Wireless Network option and press OK 

5.Select the Wifi you wish to connect to, press OK and then enter the password and press OK to accept the settings.

(To toggle between numeric and alpha keys press and hold the * key. An explanation of how this works is shown here How To Use Special Characters

The screen will the show "Connecting" then "Connected" 

To amend the IP address/Subnet/Gateway us the arrow key to scroll down until you see ADVANCED

Press OK to enter this option.

Using DHCP will pick up an IP address from your network, however this can change on a regular basis not is generally not advised to use this.

Set the DHCP setting to OFF

Then enter the IP address, Subnet and Gateway settings.  Once complete press the OK button

You can now press ESC several time to exit the menus. 

On the main screen at the top you will now see the the WIFI indicator showing the signal strength.
