Remote Download Requirements
Remote Downloads are used when the Clock and Software will be installed at different locations.
Please see below the requirements for Remote Internet Downloads:
- The clocking terminal should be connected to the remote locations Router/Network via an Ethernet Cable (of which we can provide - contact us for pricing) or through the clocks integrated WiFi (IF APPLICABLE).
- A Fixed Local IP Address for the Clock (i.e. 192.168.1.201). Preferably outside of the DHCP Range or a reserved IP. You can set this up within the clocks menu 'comm>network' (or if you have a wifi terminal -> comm>wifi setup).
- The clocking terminal will require the Default Gateway IP (i.e. 192.168.1.1) of your Network. Again you can set this up within the clocks menu 'comm>network' (or if you have a wifi terminal -> comm>wifi setup).
- A Static Broadband IP (SBIP) Address (i.e. 62.255.50.107) obtained from your Internet Service Provider (ISP), Virgin, BT for example.
- Port Forwarding needs to be enabled and set up within the remote site router. Our hardware uses port 4370. This port should be forwarded on TCP and UDP to the Local IP Address of the clocking terminal. Once this is done, the Static Broadband IP (SBIP) Address of said Router will need to be added in the ClockRite software.
