Choosing a Suitable Location

Lighting Environment

1. We recommend installing your Facial Clock in an area with consistent lighting. The Clocking Terminal shouldn't be placed close to windows or glass/open doors, this is due to the changing lighting conditions that occur throughout the day with natural light.

2. In some situations, factory skylights (the ones that allow natural light into the factory - not LED or strip lights) can cause light interference with the cameras. It is best to ensure that the camera is NOT pointing towards these lights if possible, this is due to changing lighting conditions that occur.

Installation Height

The recommended height for the C400 terminal is around a height of 1.1m (to the mark on the triangular backplate) though you may need to adjust this slightly to take into account the varying heights of the staff clocking in.

The ideas is that employees should be look down into the clock camera. Below is the correct position for enrolling and for verification (clocking in/out). For users between 5 and 6 feet tall (1.55m - 1.85m) we recommend employees stand around 2 feet (0.5m) from the device, You may need to adjust your position depending on the lighting around and above the unit.

Installing the Terminal

1
Using the backplate as a guide, drill three holes in the mounting wall at a height of 1.1 meters.
2
Insert the 3 rawl plugs, one in each hole
3
Screw the backplate in place using the 3 long screws
Employees should look down into the Clocking Terminal camera in order to register a clocking. We recommend an installation height of 1.1 meters as this allows the majority of users to stand at a comfortable distance (around 0.5 meters) from the Terminal
4
Pull the power supply lead through the backplate and connect it to the Clocking Terminal

5
Pull the Ethernet cable through the backplate and connect it to the Clocking Terminal (not necessary for WIFI Terminals)
Please use only the power supply provided. Third party power supplies may damage the Clocking Terminal
6
Mount the Clocking Terminal on the backplate
7
Secure the underside of the Clocking Terminal to the backplate using the  grub screw

8
Finally, remove the protective film covering the screen and power the Clocking Terminal on
Failure to remove the protective film before registering employees faces may result in clocking issues
