Choosing a Suitable Location
Lighting Environment
1. We recommend installing your Facial Clock in an area with consistent lighting. The Clocking Terminal shouldn't be placed close to windows or glass/open doors, this is due to the changing lighting conditions that occur throughout the day with natural light.
2. In some situations, factory skylights (the ones that allow natural light into the factory - not LED or strip lights) can cause light interference with the cameras. It is best to ensure that the camera is NOT pointing towards these lights if possible, this is due to changing lighting conditions that occur.
Installation Height
The recommended height for the C400 terminal is around a height of 1.1m (to the mark on the triangular backplate) though you may need to adjust this slightly to take into account the varying heights of the staff clocking in.
The ideas is that employees should be look down into the clock camera. Below is the correct position for enrolling and for verification (clocking in/out). For users between 5 and 6 feet tall (1.55m - 1.85m) we recommend employees stand around 2 feet (0.5m) from the device, You may need to adjust your position depending on the lighting around and above the unit.
